A true & sincere newbie confession on trading

when i 1st started, my 1st week of trading has been very successful. i still didn't know you can short. i haven't read babypips or any website. i only download client, try demo, and go live in 1 day.
2nd week on, everything goes downhill. wiped out in 1 month. then i topup. before i trade live again, i scour the internet for tips, strategy, robot. you name it. i even bought fapturbo (LOL!!!) and try a lot (literally) of robot. then i return to manual trading. 4H, 1H, M5, tried all TF, still fail.
after that i continue my search. dig more websites and strategies. i even try naked trading, support resistance technique, you name it. i've probably tried all the famous one. still fail.
after all those wasted money and time, i finally found where my mistake is. i was overtrading. there's nothing wrong with the strategy. every one of them are doing good. PEBKAC. after i sort out my patience and stay out of market when i m unsure of the direction, my life got better. my trading is still so-so. but life definitely is better.
my points is:-
1 - get a good strategy.
2 - patience. do not overtrade at all.
3 - use good money management.
sikit sikit lama lama jadi bukit. this is not quick rich scheme. use compounding magic if you plan to trade full time to build your capital. if you just want to make side income, then can withdraw every week. hehe. everyday even if you make enough profit
p/s: sorry for the wall of text. just want to share my experience. hope someone can make good use of it.

Honey is the only food on the planet that will not spoil or rot. It will do what some call turning to sugar. In reality honey is always honey.. However, when left in a cool dark place for long time it will do what I rather call "crystallizing". When this happens I loosen the lid, boil some water, and sit the honey container in the hot water, turn off the heat and let it liquefy. It is then as good as it ever was. Never boil honey or put it in a microwave. To do so will kill the enzymes in the honey.
Cinnamon and Honey
Bet the drug companies won't like this one getting around. Facts on Honey and Cinnamon: It is found that a mixture of honey and Cinnamon cures most diseases. Honey is produced in most of the countries of the world. Scientists of today also accept honey as a 'Ram Ban' (very effective) medicine for all kinds of diseases. Honey can be used without any side effects for any kind of diseases.
Today's science says that even though honey is sweet, if taken in the right dosage as a medicine, it does not harm diabetic patients. Weekly World News, a magazine in Canada , in its issue dated 17 January, 1995 has given the following list of diseases that can be cured by honey and cinnamon as researched by western scientists:
HEART DISEASES:
Make a paste of honey and cinnamon powder, apply on bread, instead of jelly and jam, and eat it regularly for breakfast. It reduces the cholesterol in the arteries and saves the patient from heart attack. Also, those who have already had an attack, if they do this process daily, they are kept miles away from the next attack. Regular use of the above process relieves loss of breath and strengthens the heart beat. In America and Canada , various nursing homes have treated patients successfully and have found that as you age, the arteries and veins lose their flexibility and get clogged; honey and cinnamon revitalize the arteries and veins.
ARTHRITIS:
Arthritis patients may take daily, morning and night, one cup of hot water with two spoons of honey and one small teaspoon of cinnamon powder. If taken regularly even chronic arthritis can be cured. In a recent research conducted at the Copenhagen University, it was found that when the doctors treated their patients with a mixture of one tablespoon Honey and half teaspoon Cinnamon powder before breakfast, they found that within a week, out of the 200 people so treated, practically 73 patients were totally relieved of pain, and within a month, mostly all the patients who could not walk or move around because of arthritis started walking without pain.
BLADDER INFECTIONS:
Take two tablespoons of cinnamon powder and one teaspoon of honey in a glass of lukewarm water and drink it. It destroys the germs in the bladder.
CHOLESTEROL:
Two tablespoons of honey and three teaspoons of Cinnamon Powder mixed in 16 ounces of tea water, given to a cholesterol patient, was found to reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood by 10 percent within two hours. As mentioned for arthritic patients, if taken three times a day, any chronic cholesterol is cured. According to information received in the said Journal, pure honey taken with food daily relieves complaints of cholesterol.
COLDS:
Those suffering from common or severe colds should take one tablespoon lukewarm honey with 1/4 spoon cinnamon powder daily for three days. This process will cure most chronic cough, cold, and clear the sinuses.
UPSET STOMACH:
Honey taken with cinnamon powder cures stomach ache and also clears stomach ulcers from the root.
GAS:
According to the studies done in India and Japan , it is revealed that if Honey is taken with cinnamon powder the stomach is relieved of gas.
IMMUNE SYSTEM:
Daily use of honey and cinnamon powder strengthens the immune system and protects the body from bacterial and viral attacks.. Scientists have found that honey has various vitamins and iron in large amounts. Constant use of Honey strengthens the white blood corpuscles to fight bacterial and viral diseases.
INDIGESTION:
Cinnamon powder sprinkled on two tablespoons of honey taken before food relieves acidity and digests the heaviest of meals.
INFLUENZA:
A scientist in Spain has proved that honey contains a natural ' Ingredient' which kills the influenza germs and saves the patient from flu..
LONGEVITY:
Tea made with honey and cinnamon powder, when taken regularly, arrests the ravages of old age. Take four spoons of honey, one spoon of cinnamon powder, and three cups of water and boil to make like tea. Drink 1/4 cup, three to four times a day. It keeps the skin fresh and soft and arrests old age. Life spans also increase and even a 100 year old, starts performing the chores of a 20-year-old.
PIMPLES:
Three tablespoons of honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon powder paste. Apply this paste on the pimples before sleeping and wash it next morning with warm water. If done daily for two weeks, it removes pimples from the root.
SKIN INFECTIONS:
Applying honey and cinnamon powder in equal parts on the affected parts cures eczema, ringworm and all types of skin infections.
WEIGHT LOSS:
Daily in the morning one half hour before breakfast on an empty stomach, and at night before sleeping, drink honey and cinnamon powder boiled in one cup of water. If taken regularly, it reduces the weight of even the most obese person. Also, drinking this mixture regularly does not allow the fat to accumulate in the body even though the person may eat a high calorie diet.
CANCER:
Recent research in Japan and Australia has revealed that advanced cancer of the stomach and bones have been cured successfully Patients suffering from these kinds of cancer should daily take one tablespoon of honey with one teaspoon of cinnamon powder for one month three times a day.
FATIGUE:
Recent studies have shown that the sugar content of honey is more helpful rather than being detrimental to the strength of the body. Senior citizens, who take honey and cinnamon powder in equal parts, are more alert and flexible. Dr. Milton, who has done research, says that a half tablespoon of honey taken in a glass of water and sprinkled with cinnamon powder, taken daily after brushing and in the afternoon at about 3:00 P.M. when the vitality of the body starts to decrease, increases the vitality of the body within a week.
BAD BREATH:
People of South America , first thing in the morning, gargle with one teaspoon of honey and cinnamon powder mixed in hot water, so their breath stays fresh throughout the day.
HEARING LOSS:
Daily morning and night honey and cinnamon powder, taken in equal parts restores hearing. Remember when we were kids? We had toast with real butter and cinnamon sprinkled on it!
Technique on Bollinger Band
Bollinger Bands provide a relative definition of high and low. By definition price is high at the upper band and low at the lower band.
That relative definition can be used to compare price action and indicator action to arrive at rigorous buy and sell decisions.
Appropriate indicators can be derived from momentum, volume, sentiment, open interest, inter-market data, etc.
If more than one indicator is used the indicators should not be directly related to one another. For example, a momentum indicator might complement a volume indicator successfully, but two momentum indicators aren't better than one.
Bollinger Bands can be used in pattern recognition to define/clarify pure price patterns such as "M" tops and "W" bottoms, momentum shifts, etc.
Tags of the bands are just that, tags not signals. A tag of the upper Bollinger Band is NOT in-and-of-itself a sell signal. A tag of the lower Bollinger Band is NOT in-and-of-itself a buy signal.
In trending markets price can, and does, walk up the upper Bollinger Band and down the lower Bollinger Band.
Closes outside the Bollinger Bands are initially continuation signals, not reversal signals. (This has been the basis for many successful volatility breakout systems.)
The default parameters of 20 periods for the moving average and standard deviation calculations, and two standard deviations for the width of the bands are just that, defaults. The actual parameters needed for any given market/task may be different.
The average deployed as the middle Bollinger Band should not be the best one for crossovers. Rather, it should be descriptive of the intermediate-term trend.
Traditional Bollinger Bands are based upon a simple moving average. This is because a simple average is used in the standard deviation calculation and we wish to be logically consistent.
Make no statistical assumptions based on the use of the standard deviation calculation in the construction of the bands. The distribution of security prices is non-normal and the typical sample size in most deployments of Bollinger Bands is too small for statistical significance. (In practice we typically find 90%, not 95%, of the data inside Bollinger Bands with the default parameters)
%b tells us where we are in relation to the Bollinger Bands. The position within the bands is calculated using an adaptation of the formula for Stochastics
%b has many uses; among the more important are identification of divergences, pattern recognition and the coding of trading systems using Bollinger Bands.

He said buy eur on 24/11 to 6/12 every year wor...sure up, 100% winning strategies...u all free to verify it? I not good in analysis.

Why george soros, warren buffet no need to hardsell , no need to yell like all other commerical trading course trainer(the above video is one sample). Forex - Pip and Spread
Pip is smallest change in price in forex. For example eurusd move from 1.5031 to 1.5041, means it has increase 10 pips(1.5041-1.5031=10) For 5 decimal platform, MT5 maybe 1.50312 to 1.50412=100 pips.

Spread is the pips broker charge you once u open position. Broker dont take commission from you as compared to equity trading. They charge you pip!So, in short, they still charge you 'commission' but use different terms only.Refering to the picture above, eurusd sell is 1.5030, buy is 1.5031, so the spread will be 1.5031-1.5030=1 pip. That means ,once u open buy /sell eurusd, broker charge you 1 pip. Dont worry about the calculation, it will be automatically calculated in your Mt4/5 platform.
Trading on NON FARM Payroll(NFP)
This is the most volatile period on forex price. Non Farm payroll(NFP) is released most of the time on 1st Friday of each calender month at 8.30pm(Malaysia time , GMT+8).Check your forex calendar for NFP release

Price is very volatile during news time. When you see result is red means bearish and green is bullish on prince. When black (no change)colour...normally price will drop. This is a leading indicator and it is widely used.Price is expected to retrace or rebound or move to certain level as indicated in fibonacci study lines. I try my best to explain fibonacci in layman terms.Fibonacci indicates human psychology level. How do you measure Mr Universe or Ms Universe body figure to qualify him as a winner?The proportion on their body tell us that he/she is thw winner as our human mind psychology says it. Why is credit card designed in such a measurement? Cause our human psychology tells us such measurement is ideal.So, same thing when apply in trading. Price is expected to move to certain levels in fibonacci line.

Today spend a trip to my client place and upon request, i installed an easy to use software to block his employer pc from acessing facebook and few other software. Coleslaw recipee...almost similar to KFC coleslaw
I tried it and it is easy to make. Very easy and nice dessert. You can replace buttermilk with mayonaise.If you use mayonaise , dont add vinegar as mayonaise contains vinegar. Add sugar to taste.
But you cant make exactly 100% taste with KFC coleslaw as their mayonaise is specially prepared.

Basically , when you are using online trading MT4/5 , you are trading the spot market(OTC over the counter is done in the bank counter eg u buy usd notes and keep.
In eurusd pair...when eur streghtening with usd maintain eurusd will up(bull) and vice versa.Same, in eurusd, when eur maintain , usd strenghtening, eurusd will down (bearish)
It is just mathetical division...100/1=100 , 100/10=10 , 100/100=1
Leverage is to enable small capital to control bigger lot..as in forex not much people can trade 1 standard lot with leverage 1:1 unless you have big capital.So, they comes out with leverage to enable more market participant in forex trading.Normally trader choose 1:100. Newbie will choose higher leverage eg 1:500 or 1:1000
Forex profit? your mt4/5 will calculate automatically for you
Margin call? When your free argin reach 0, broker will close your account automatically without any warning.
Sell limit , buy limit..i will post some video later how to execute order using mt4 in my next post

Japanese candlestick
Japanese candlestick chart can recognise some pattern to detect market direction. Works better on longer time frame eg D1(daily chart), W1(weekly chart), Y1(yearly chart) but there is no 100% accuracy.If there is 100% accuracy, I already a billionaires.Trading is based on probability, risk reward and money management.

These 2 free for personal use software can save you a lot of cost of computer repairing.
Both can complement each other , working hand in hand to clean viruses and the like.

My experience, even you have Kaspersky Internet Security, Norton, Mcafee antivirus..some malware , trojan , worms , rootkits , etc still cant be cleaned without Malwarebytes anti-malware.But having only Malwarebytes anti malware alone also wont solve the case as some viruses cant be cleaned by itself. It needs some other antivirus programs as well. Thus I recommend Avg free personal edition.

Malaysia and Spore Invest Fair
Thumbs up for investment fair but beware of the commercial private trading courses offered in the fair. Courses ranging from rm few thousands to above ten thousands. From my real experience, trading can be learned free of charge from the internet using free media such as facebook, youtube , forums and the like with patience. Beware of those commercial trading course offered and most of all will end up losing more.
There is no holy grail in trading. You simply cant predict the price movement. Trading is based on probabilities, risk reward ratio and money management.
A MUST READ BEFORE YOU PLAN TO SIGN UP TRADING COURSEDon’t be a maverick: If you new to the forex , avoid wasting your money on new courses. Scout around for products that have stood reputation over time. Traders with experience will be able to guide to extremely good resources.
Get away from free mentality:
There is a lot of free information available on the internet but most of it is of average quality. Since any person can post content, reliability is a big issue. Avoid wasting time on useless banter, especially at forums. Remember you always get what you pay for. Free is actually a myth. You are paying for it with your time. I personally know many successful traders who have invested thousands of dollars in their training.
Costliest is not the best:
There are many $10000 forex seminars which in actuality deliver less information than a $18 book. They only have a high perceived value. You will not always pay for good content. A lot of what you will pay could be financing their good marketing.
One at a Time:
The human brain works best when it learns a new concept and practices the new concept. At all costs, avoid the mentality learn till I feel confident. Learn a concept or strategy, practice it and then move on.
Stay away from bold claims:
If someone makes a bold claim to you and tries to sell “make 10 pips a day consistently guaranteed” ask yourself….. If he is so good at this why is he selling it? Be rest assured there are no one hidden secret in forex trading…

Wax in paper cups
Disposables paper cups are coated with wax to prevent water seeping into the paper.When hot liquid is poured into the paper cup, some wax will be dissolved and drink together with the liquid.Over the long run , this will create problem in our stomach. Using glass , the world most least reactive material(asyou remember in your schooldays science projects, acid can be stored in glass and blood is stored in glas tube in hospitals.
Ceramic mug is another good choice other than stainless mug but never ever use plastic ones
